Cora McHugh-Morrison, OD, MS
Dr. Cora McHugh-Morrison received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Denison University and earned both her Doctor of Optometry degree, cum laude, and Master of Vision Science degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. She pursued advanced residency training in pediatric optometry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry.
Dr. McHugh-Morrison provides comprehensive pediatric eye care and has experience treating amblyopia, strabismus and other binocular vision disorders, refractive errors, and pediatric ocular disease. Her training also included myopia control, specialty contact lenses for children, infant aphakia, low vision, and care for patients with concussion and post-concussion syndrome.
She has a particular interest in caring for children with neurodivergence and other special needs. Her pediatric training included providing comprehensive eye and low-vision care to children at the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind. Dr. McHugh-Morrison also has a strong background in research and teaching, including research in ocular biomechanics and clinical education of optometry students.
